The second half of our 2018 Anime Expo revolved very heavily around the Masquerade show on Day 3. The big show is our first experience in a cosplay contest, despite over four years of building Gundam armors and taking them to ‘con. As per tradition, Day 4 was reserved for shopping around the Exhibit Hall and Artist Alley.

The promised wind-down day finally arrived, and while some parts of this ‘con felt painfully grueling, Day 4 came and went nearly in the blink of an eye. All the halls close earlier and the crowds grow thinner, with less cosplayers and events sprinkled throughout the day.

Anime Expo 2017: Day 1
Day one was an adventure – moreso than most other day ones. Admittedly we didn’t do much at all; a test run of the suit and one panel was just about all we had the energy for, given that we literally didn’t finish the suit until 7am the morning of the Expo.
